The Role
L&G Retail is seeking a Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Manager to lead optimisation activities across our Direct Protection customer journeys. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who thrives on using data, experimentation, and customer insights to enhance digital engagements.
You’ll:
- Define and deliver the CRO strategy to improve conversion, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
- Own the CRO roadmap, from hypothesis creation and prioritisation to QA, deployment, analysis, and recommendations.
- Build and maintain a customer-insight and analytics-aligned CRO backlog.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to uncover friction points, opportunities, and next-best actions.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, compliance, marketing, and product teams to deliver effective experiments.
- Translate test results, insights, and business impact into clear reports for all key stakeholders.
- Champion CRO best practices, fostering a data-driven, customer-focused experimentation culture.
- Explore innovations in personalisation, predictive modelling, and automation across omnichannel journeys.

| Test journeys with best-in-class tools and techniques. | ✅ Strong expertise in A/B testing, multivariate testing, and experimentation tools (e.g. Adobe Target, Optimizely, VWO). |
| Leverage analytics to drive decisions. | ✅ Skilled in data tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.). |
| Turn data into intuitive recommendations and measurable outcomes. | ✅ Experience owning/shaping a CRO strategy or experimentation roadmap. |
| Understand customer behaviour, UX principles, and conversion best practices. | ✅ Familiarity with front-end tech, session replay, heat mapping, or Scrum. |
| Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. | ✅ A confident, collaborative communicator able to work with developers, analysts, compliance, product, and marketing teams. |
