About Us

MGC Solicitors is a well-established, client-focused law firm based in Neston, Cheshire. We provide a range of legal services including residential conveyancing and private client work.

We are looking to recruit a Legal Administration Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Conveyancing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance a career within a busy law firm and develop practical skills in conveyancing and legal administration.

The Role

This is a full-time position. You will provide day-to-day administrative support to our Conveyancing and Private Client teams, whilst also assisting the wider office where required. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Conveyancing Administration

  • Opening new client files and assisting with onboarding processes
  • Carrying out initial Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and ID checks
  • Preparing and sending out client care documentation
  • Assisting fee earners with general administrative tasks
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents and third parties

Post-Completion Support

  • Assisting with post-completion formalities (including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications)
  • Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate records

General Office Duties

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with client enquiries
  • Meeting and greeting clients and covering reception when required
  • Providing administrative support to other departments, including Private Client
  • General filing, scanning and document management

About You

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a professional manner
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • A positive, reliable and proactive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a legal environment

No prior legal experience is required, although an interest in law or previous office experience would be advantageous.
