Role: Conveyancing Assistant - Residential Property
Location: Bradford
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Flexible Working: 1 day working from home (to be discussed)
Are you an experienced Conveyancing Assistant looking to join a modern and ambitious law firm where your contribution is recognised and your development is supported?
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and paralegal support to a Conveyancer, assisting with residential property matters from instruction through to completion. Working within a busy and collaborative team, you'll play a key role in ensuring transactions progress smoothly while maintaining high standards of client care and communication throughout the process. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous residential conveyancing experience who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and is looking to further develop their legal career.
Key Areas Of Responsibility
Managing client work as delegated by the Conveyancer, Supervisor or Department Head Drafting correspondence, legal documents and issuing sales contracts Providing regular updates and guidance to clients regarding transaction progress and costs Handling incoming calls and responding to client and third-party enquiries professionally Liaising with estate agents, solicitors, lenders and other relevant parties Undertaking property searches and issuing search requests on purchase matters Managing pre-exchange searches and post completion registrations Assisting with financial transactions and preparing client bills Opening and closing files in accordance with firm procedures Maintaining accurate and up to date case management and filing systems Ensuring compliance with professional regulations and internal procedures Participating in training and development activities to maintain legal knowledge and best practice Supporting the wider department with additional duties as required

Experience Required
A minimum of 3 years' recent experience within residential conveyancing Strong understanding of the end to end residential conveyancing process Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive and professional approach to client care Confident IT skills and experience using case management systems Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
