We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Senior Paralegal to join our residential property team. The successful candidate will support fee earners by managing and progressing a complex and varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, providing high-quality casework, client care, and technical support.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled conveyancing professional who wishes to develop their career within a modern, supportive law firm and take on increased responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Progress a personal caseload of residential property transactions from initial instruction to completion, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold enfranchisement matters, maintaining momentum and meeting agreed timescales.
  • Prepare, review, and draft transaction documentation such as contracts, transfer deeds, priority documentation, replies to pre-contract enquiries and requisitions on title; ensure accuracy and compliance with lender and firm requirements.
  • Conduct detailed title and file reviews, identify and resolve title issues and defective documentation, and escalate complex or unusual matters to fee earners where appropriate.
  • Manage searches, priority dates, mortgage conditions, and post-completion formalities; prepare and check completion financials, handle client monies in accordance with practice rules, and liaise with accounts to ensure funds are received, reconciled, and transferred correctly.
  • Liaise proactively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, surveyors, other firms, and third parties to obtain information, chase outstanding actions, and coordinate transactions to completion.
  • Maintain accurate file records on the case management system, ensure time recording and task lists are up to date, and assist with the preparation of billing information and completion statements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
