Opportunity for a Qualified Conveyancer or Solicitor

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are working on behalf of a valued client who are seeking a qualified Licensed Conveyancer (CLC) or Solicitor with conveyancing experience to establish and develop a specialist Probate Conveyancer service within our growing legal business.

This is an opportunity to join at the outset of a new department and work closely with an established Private Client and Probate team to deliver a specialist service that supports executors, administrators, trustees, and beneficiaries with property transactions following a bereavement.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of probate-related conveyancing matters, including:

  • Sale of probate properties following the grant of probate
  • Assents and transfers to beneficiaries
  • Transfers of property into trust
  • Beneficiary purchases and buyouts
  • Associated property transactions arising during estate administration

In addition to fee-earning work, you will contribute to the development of the department by helping to establish processes, workflows, and service standards.

While there are no immediate management responsibilities, this role offers genuine scope to influence the future direction of the service and play a key part in its growth.

About You

To be considered, you must be:

  • A Licensed Conveyancer (CLC)
  • A Qualified Solicitor with current conveyancing experience
  • A Chartered Legal Executive with substantial conveyancing experience

You will also have:

  • Strong experience handling residential conveyancing matters
  • The ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to work

Previous experience of probate conveyancing is advantageous but not essential.
