Conveyancing Solicitor – Full-Time Role (Rochdale)

This is a full-time, on-site Conveyancing Solicitor role based in Rochdale, responsible for overseeing residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold transactions
  • Remortgaging
  • Transfers of equity

The role demands excellence in legal diligence, clear communication, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of client service.


Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Independently manage a full residential conveyancing caseload, ensuring prompt and accurate case progression.
  • Draft, review, and update contracts and legal documents in compliance with Land Registry requirements.
  • Conduct title searches, pre-contract enquiries, and due diligence checks.
  • Liaise effectively with:
    • Clients to provide clear, timely advice
    • Estate agents
    • Lenders
    • Other solicitors and legal counterparts
  • Ensure full AML/compliance adherence and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain efficient file management and detailed case records.
  • Promote best practice in client care, professionalism, and ethical handling of transactions.

Supporting Business Growth

  • Build and strengthen local professional networks to facilitate cross-referrals.
  • Actively market the firm’s legal services to clients in residential conveyancing, commercial property, family law, and employment law sectors.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with an up-to-date practising certificate.
  • At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in a UK law firm, specialising in residential conveyancing.
  • In-depth practical knowledge of:
    • Conveyancing procedures
    • Land Registry submissions
    • AML and compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency in legal case management systems (e.g., [insert notable platforms if applicable]).
  • Legal DLM (Digital Legal Manage ) Skills, CADMAN FUN found software Skills
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to:
    • Prioritise workloads
    • Manage multiple deadlines efficiently in a pressured environment
  • Advanced written and verbal communication, capable of explaining complex legal issues clarity and empathy.
