Role Description

The Conveyancing Technical Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for providing expert technical support across the conveyancing process. This role focuses on:

  • Resolving technical and legal queries
  • Supporting conveyancing teams with guidance on best practice, risk management, and regulatory compliance

The specialist will:

  • Draft and refine standard documentation
  • Assist with process improvements
  • Contribute to training materials and knowledge resources to ensure consistency and quality

Daily activities include:

  • Collaborating with conveyancers and managers
  • Investigating issues related to title, searches, and lender requirements
  • Helping to streamline workflows through clear advice and documentation

The role also involves:

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure service standards are met
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business

Qualifications

  • Strong conveyancing knowledge, including residential property law, title investigation, and lender and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in technical support or senior conveyancing roles, with the ability to resolve complex file queries and provide clear guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, review, and refine legal and procedural documentation.
  • Proven attention to detail, analytical thinking, and sound judgment in identifying and managing risk.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-volume setting.
  • Comfort with using conveyancing case management systems and other digital tools; openness to working with evolving technology and processes.
  • Collaborative mindset and interpersonal skills to support, coach, and influence colleagues across multiple teams and locations.
  • Relevant legal or conveyancing qualifications (such as Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX, or equivalent experience) are highly beneficial.
