About The Role
Are you an experienced conveyancer ready to take the next step into a more strategic, influential role?
At Simplify, we’re looking for a Conveyancing Technical Lead to help drive our mission to transform residential conveyancing. This is an opportunity to move beyond the day-to-day and play a key role in shaping how conveyancing is delivered at scale.
This role goes far beyond technical support. You’ll lead on process innovation, risk-based decision-making, and quality improvements, while helping to embed emerging technologies such as AI into our ways of working. Alongside this, you’ll mentor and support our Legal Technical Specialists, raising standards and driving excellence across the business.

What You’ll Do
Lead with technical excellence
- Support complex conveyancing cases, ensuring high-quality title checks and informed, risk-based decisions.

Drive process improvement
- Implement, refine, and audit progressive conveyancing practices to improve efficiency and reduce memo-to-exchange times.
Champion innovation and technology
- Play a key role in embedding AI, automation, and case classification into operational workflows.
Mentor and develop others
- Support and guide Legal Technical Specialists through coaching, training, and ongoing development.
Collaborate across the business
- Work closely with Team Managers, Legal Practice leadership, the Head of LTS, and international teams including Simplify India.
Shape policy and compliance
- Contribute to updates in procedure, legislation, and practice while maintaining the highest standards of governance and quality.
What We’re Looking For
✔️ 5+ years’ experience in residential conveyancing, including complex property types (e.g. Leasehold, Shared Ownership, New Build, Building Safety Act)
✔️ Proven ability to manage a caseload and make independent, risk-based decisions
✔️ Experience in auditing, mentoring, and delivering constructive feedback
✔️ Commercially aware, tech-savvy, and motivated to drive innovation
✔️ Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels
