Chief Operating Officer

We are partnered with a rapidly growing, regulated FinTech operating across Banking-as-a-Service, Payments, Foreign Exchange, and Digital Assets, to find an exceptional Chief Operating Officer. This is a rare opportunity to build and own the operational backbone of a business at genuine scale-up pace, working directly with the CEO and senior leadership to turn ambitious growth plans into reality.

If you thrive on solving complex operational challenges in a regulated environment and want real ownership, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Own

  • Set the operational strategy. Build and execute the roadmap that scales payments, FX, transaction processing, reconciliation, and banking operations
  • Lead BaaS & payments delivery. Oversee programme delivery, domestic and international payment rails, and resilience across settlement, safeguarding, and treasury
  • Drive regulatory excellence. Ensure operational adherence to FCA requirements, robust controls, and audit readiness as the business grows
  • Own financial control & reconciliation. This includes safeguarding client money, strengthen reporting, and partner closely with Finance on governance
  • Build and lead a high-performing team. Mentor a growing operations function and instil a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Be a trusted voice externally and internally, representing the business with regulators, banking partners, and key stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
