Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

This is an exciting opportunity to join the COO Business Operations team at the heart of the Chief Operating Office. As COO Commercials Business Manager, you will improve cost transparency, strengthen accountability and support leaders to make commercially sound decisions. Working closely with Group Finance, COO Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders, you will identify cost-saving opportunities, track actions and ensure costs are managed in line with demand and priorities.
About the role
- Identify and progress cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across COO, creating action plans and tracking benefits.
- Use insight into run/change charges and recovery to support decisions, address variances and ensure costs scale in line with plan, demand and priorities.
- Work with Group Finance and business leaders to analyse cost drivers, investigate variances and agree actions.
- Provide high-quality insight and reporting to support COO senior leadership.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance processes and accountability across the function.
- Support delivery of business plan targets by turning financial expectations into clear actions across COO areas.
- Build strong relationships across COO and Finance to influence stakeholders and drive follow-through.

About you
- Strong experience in cost management, financial planning or a similar commercial or finance-focused role.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn insight into action.
- Sound understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling and financial controls.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence working with senior leaders.
- A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage priorities and drive actions through to completion.
- Experience of translating financial targets into clear business actions and delivery plans.
- Experience of governance, controls and process improvement in a complex business environment.
- An accounting qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
