About the Role
This is a part-time role and would be suitable for someone who has some previous experience of working in a kitchen environment, however, full training will be given to the right candidate. We are a small team and we are looking for someone to work alongside our current cook. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children's Barred List check. What will you be doing?
You will be working closely with our current cook in the first instance and once all training has been completed you will be required to work independently in the kitchen preparing breakfast / evening meals for visiting groups.

Ideally you will have some previous experience working in a kitchen environment and be able to communicate effectively with other colleagues and visiting groups. Full training will be given to the right candidate.
There is a requirement to undertake regular cleaning duties as part of your normal working day.
The typical working pattern for this role is 15 hours a week during our peak times between Feb - Jul, the rest of the year will be less.
About You
You should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual whilst being organised. You will need to have excellent time-keeping skills and have a reliable and committed approach to the job and the Centre.
