Job Description
Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Cook in their Education sector to join our team at Millom School, LA18 5AB.
You will be responsible for food preparation and kitchen operations, supporting the Catering Manager in delivering consistent food quality and service.

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and present food to meet menu specifications, portion control, presentation standards, and service deadlines.
- Maintain food service operations by replenishing service counters and supporting retail sales activities as required.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and company policies, ensuring compliance with all legislative, client, and organisational procedures.
- Support kitchen cleanliness and preparation, including cleaning work areas, utensils, and equipment, and assisting with mise en place for future service.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding positively to customer needs, maintaining professionalism, and remaining composed under pressure.
- Work collaboratively within the team, participating in training, contributing to team objectives, and supporting overall operational success.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant Catering Qualification City & Guilds 706 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent catering qualification).
- Food Hygiene Knowledge: Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate safe food handling practices.
- Professional Standards: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and professional conduct at all times.
- Reliable and Team-Oriented Approach: Proven record of good attendance, reliability, positive behaviour, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
