Role Description

A day in the life of a Cook at Holmes Care Group is all about serving nutritious home-cooked meals while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. Key responsibilities include:

Core Responsibilities

  • Producing varied, tasty menus for residents, considering individual dietary requirements
  • Providing special diets where necessary
  • Ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen, including meal clean-up and washing-up
  • Preparing and serving meals efficiently
  • Guiding and coaching the kitchen team
  • Stock control, replenishing stock, and ordering supplies
  • Managing Food Health and Safety requirements, ensuring all documentation is completed and up to date

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience working as a Cook
  • Ability to accommodate a variety of dietary requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and Food Hygiene Certificates
  • Knowledge of all relevant health and safety regulations
