Cook Working Hours: 22.5-hour contract with weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis Location: Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen
About the Role
An exciting Catering opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Cook to join our hard-working team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. You’ll play a key role in providing high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors in a fast-paced, hospital kitchen setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a team-driven commercial kitchen producing nutritious, patient-friendly meals.
- Manage special dietary requirements (experience is advantageous).
- Demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence.
- Maintain high hygiene standards and ensure food safety protocols are followed.

Requirements
- A City & Guilds 706 (1 & 2) Food Preparation qualification, NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation, or equivalent.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
- Ability to work weekend rotations and bank holidays ( Punta system).
Desirable:
- Previous experience in hospital catering.
- Fluency in Welsh (influences application consideration).
