The successful applicant will: Deliver food service of high quality within the home, and also with meal service to the residents. Prepare and cook all daily meals for residents and staff. Also plan, prepare and cater for modified diets and special events such as birthdays, ensuring the highest quality and presentation of the food served and making sure the residents are happy with the service delivered in the home. Demonstrate the uppermost standards in cleanliness, food safety and hygiene in the kitchen area, including all equipment and appliances, adhering to all regulatory and statutory requirements and company policies and procedures. Clean and take care of equipment used to carry out tasks, such as utensils, plates, etc, and report any on any need for maintenance or replacement to the Catering Manager Be organised and good at keeping records as well as able to follow recipes.

What we are looking for: Someone who understands kitchen processes, nutrition, and a wide range of dietary needs, and who can deliver care through the food they prepare. You will ensure every meal supports our residents’ dignity, comfort, and individuality while following safe and efficient kitchen practices. Whether you’re adapting menus for specialised diets, preparing meals for residents with swallowing difficulties, or offering reassurance to someone who feels anxious at mealtimes, you’ll prioritise their well‑being above anything else. Through nutritious, well‑presented dishes and a calm, person‑centred approach, you help create a homely dining experience that truly makes a difference.
