Cook – Full-Time Role
Ready for a Cook role that lets you unleash your creativity? Join Rosebank House as part of the Hospital team working 37.5 hours a week, crafting daily meals for service users, staff, and visitors. Join us in creating delicious meals while preparing and supporting colleagues in a social and enjoyable working environment.

As a Cook, You Will Be Responsible For
- Preparing, planning, and cooking meals of the highest standard, tailoring dishes to special requests and dietary requirements
- Serving food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner to service users, staff, and visitors
- Supporting events by crafting bespoke menus and menus for celebrations
- Ensuring cost-effective purchasing through proper menu planning, costing, and stock control
- Adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards, including ’Safer Food, Better Business’ guidelines and Food Hygiene Regulations
- Maintaining stock rotation, storage, and log keeping (HACCP records, temperature logs, cleaning schedules)
- Taking full shift responsibility for smooth catering operations
- Developing innovative, healthy meal plans that align with nutritional standards

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need
- 18 years of age or older
- GCSE English or equivalent
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (mandatory)
- Intermediate Food Hygiene (desirable)
- Experience in a food preparation or kitchen management role
- Hands-on ability in:
- Menu creation
- Cost control and budget allocation
- Stock management and ordering

About Rosebank House A modern, purpose-built 24-hour specialist care home for individuals with complex mental health needs (many having left hospital under a Mental Health Act placement). The service supports:
