Copy Lead (Freelance)

Freelance | 3 days per week | Ongoing Contract £300/day (Inside IR35) Location: London / Hybrid

We're recruiting for an experienced Copy Lead to support a globally recognised luxury beauty and fashion brand.

Working approximately three days per week, you'll play a key role in creating compelling, on-brand copy across a wide range of digital, print, and retail channels. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished copy professional who understands luxury storytelling and can write with precision, creativity, and consistency across multiple customer touchpoints.


The Role

As Copy Lead, you'll be responsible for producing engaging, customer-focused content that reflects the brand’s premium positioning and distinctive tone of voice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing copy for:
    • Email campaigns
    • Digital banners and digital cards
    • Event invitations
    • Booking page copy
  • Creating SEO- and UX-focused copy for website content
  • Producing content for e-retailer platforms
  • Writing print copy for:
    • Signage
    • Brochures
    • Customer collateral (print)
  • Crafting organic and paid social media content
  • Writing scripts, subtitles, and captions for videos
  • Supporting internal communications and training materials
  • Managing project content
  • Collaborating with marketing and creative teams to ensure copy is:
    • Accurate
    • Engaging
    • Aligned with brand guidelines

About You

You’ll be an experienced copywriter or copy lead with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality work across multiple channels.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a copywriting or copy lead role
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience creating content across:
    • Digital
    • Print
    • CRM
    • Social channels
  • A strong understanding of SEO and UX copywriting principles
  • Previous experience working with:
    • Luxury, premium, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands
  • Outstanding attention to detail with an ability to:
    • Adaption tone of voice to different audiences
    • Maintain brand consistency
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage:
    • Multiple projects
    • Tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
