Job Description

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days office/2 days remote)

Position Type: Permanent

Work Schedule: Full Time

About Us

IG is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.3 million customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses. The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next. Join us at IG – the future gets built here.

About The Role

We're looking for a talented Copywriter to join our creative team, reporting to our Senior Copywriter.

In this role, you'll help investors and traders navigate financial markets with greater confidence by turning complex ideas into clear, engaging content. From social campaigns and email journeys to educational content and UX copy, you'll create work that makes investing and trading more accessible while maintaining a distinctive tone of voice built around clarity, conviction, and putting the customer first. The ideal candidate combines creative flair with strategic thinking: someone who can adapt messaging across channels while always keeping the needs of the audience front and centre.

You'll join a business with a long history of helping people access financial markets through trading, with a renewed ambition to reach a broader range of investors in the years ahead. As investing becomes more accessible, we're creating content that serves everyone from first-time investors to experienced investors.

The ideal candidate is experienced in distilling complexity into content people can understand and act on, has a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a collaborative creative environment. This is an opportunity to develop your craft while creating work that genuinely helps customers make more informed financial decisions.

Your Team

This role sits within the UK Creative Studio, reporting into the Senior Copywriter. The studio operates as a creative strategic partner for UK&I marketing, partnering closely with teams across Acquisition, CRM, Brand, Social, and Product Marketing to deliver creative output across all key channels. You’ll work day-to-day alongside designers, motion designers, and web editors, collaborating to produce cohesive, high-quality work at pace.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and write conceptually strong copy across the full channel mix: social (organic and paid), OOH, email, in-app, web, landing pages, and long-form educational content.
  • Bring big brand thinking to briefs — finding the idea behind the ask, not just the words on the page.
  • Apply and protect IG's tone of voice across all outputs, adapting register from expressive and provocative to instructional and reassuring depending on channel and audience.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and motion designers to ensure copy and creative work as a single, cohesive idea.
  • Support CRM initiatives with customer-focused messaging tailored to different audience segments and journey stages.
  • Write performance copy for acquisition campaigns including paid social, display, and landing pages.
  • Proofread and quality-check all copy to the highest standard.
  • Contribute to the social media content calendar with platform-native, audience-aware content.
  • Work autonomously on multiple briefs simultaneously, managing your own time and output with minimal oversight.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Significant copywriting experience, with a portfolio demonstrating genuine conceptual range — not just execution. We want to see ideas, not just words. A strong portfolio is non-negotiable.
  • Proven multi-channel output across a wide variety of social, OOH, email/CRM, web/UX, print, video scripts, long-form.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry — e.g. financial services, pharma, energy, telco, or similar — with demonstrable ability to produce compelling, creative work within legal and compliance guardrails.
  • A curious, self-directed working style: someone who reads widely, stays culturally aware, and brings fresh angles to briefs rather than waiting to be told what to write.
  • Comfortable working independently and at pace in an in-house creative environment.
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading, and attention to detail — you're the last line of defence before work goes live.

Desirable

  • A background that spans agency, in-house, or a mix of both — we value the different perspectives each brings. What matters is the quality and range of the work, not where it was done.
  • Experience writing for financial audiences — investors, traders, or similar — or demonstrable ability to translate complex or technical subject matter credibly.
  • Understanding of SEO, CRM segmentation, and performance-led creative principles.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and basic digital production workflows.
