Copywriter - App Ops
# Senior Copywriter (UX & In-App Content) – Permanent
About the Role
This senior copywriting position is proudly embedded within an automotive client’s App Operations team, delivering cutting-edge in-app content and UX copy to elevate their mobile experience. Working in a dynamic, hybrid setting, you’ll work directly with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to craft clarity-driven words that enhance usability, brand trust, and engagement across iOS and Android platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
UX & In-App Copywriting Leadership
- UX Writing Mastery: Lead the creation of micro copy—buttons, labels, tooltips, error messages, onboarding flows, feature explanations, and empty states—to ensure every user interaction feels intuitive.
- Urgent & Engaging Messaging: Develop push notifications, alerts, and in-app messages that drive action (e.g., check-ups, promotions, service notifications) while maintaining brand consistency.
- Complex Translation: Simplify technical specs (e.g., telematics, connected car features) into clear, user-friendly language without compromising accuracy.
User Guidance & Support
- Cross-Collaboration: Partner with UX/UI designers to integrate copy seamlessly into wireframes, prototypes, and final designs, prioritising efficiency and readability.
- Helpful Support Content: Author App Store descriptions, FAQs, release notes, and in-app tutorials to aid new and returning users.
- Error Prevention: Use strategic wording to minimise user errors and reduce reliance on customer support.
Strategic Impact & Ownership
- User-Driven Decisions: Attend usability testing sessions and research findings to refine copy for real-world impact.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present copy strategies to clients and internal teams, explaining how language shapes user experience and brand perception.
- Brand Voice Expertise: Explain and adapt to tone-of-voice guidelines, ensuring consistency while catering to mobile constraints (e.g., space limitations).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
