Job Description

We're now recruiting for a newly created Copywriting Manager role and are looking for an experienced, creative copywriting leader to help shape the future of our brand voice.

This is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead copywriting across the business, creating compelling concepts and content that engage customers, strengthen our brand and deliver commercial impact. You'll play a key role in elevating our content, setting creative direction and supporting our continued growth.

You'll champion high-quality copy across a wide range of channels, ensuring everything we produce is distinctive, effective and aligned with AJ Bell’s tone of voice, brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.

We’re particularly interested in someone who is passionate about the future of content creation and eager to explore how AI tools can be used to enhance creativity, quality and efficiency while maintaining the highest standards.

What you'll do

  • Craft high-quality long-form and short-form content for a range of channels and campaigns
  • Evolve and refine copy briefs to deliver best in class comms
  • Lead the ongoing development of our tone of voice and brand language guidelines
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all content touchpoints
  • Identify opportunities to introduce AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, content consistency, and delivery speed
  • Help shape guidance for the ethical and effective use of AI within the copy team
  • Manage, mentor and support a team of copywriters through feedback, coaching, and development opportunities
  • Work closely with UX writers, supporting them to implement the brand TOV
  • Contribute to building a strong copy community – sharing best practice, running sessions, and championing high standards
  • Promote copywriting as a strategic discipline, ensuring the function is recognised and involved early in projects
  • Manage the copy team’s workflow and production schedule, ensuring work is allocated effectively and fairly
  • Manage requests from across the business and ensure resource is allocated and prioritised, managing stakeholder expectations and delivering to agreed SLAs.
  • Support the planning of future resource requirements based on upcoming campaigns and strategic priorities. Communicate capacity challenges clearly and constructively, helping teams make informed decisions.
  • Build strong relationships across creative, marketing, product, operations, and senior leadership teams
  • Manage relationships with external agencies when specialist support is required and oversee external resource during peak periods, reviewing work to ensure standards are consistently met
  • Support and enable the business to deliver good outcomes for D2C customers through adherence of regulatory requirements, including consumer duty

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
