A leading global Energy Trading organisation is seeking a Core Platform Software Engineer (C#/.NET) to join its London-based Core Platform team, delivering and enhancing the business-critical technology that underpins the global trading lifecycle. Working across trade capture, integration, valuation, risk, and settlement, you'll build scalable enterprise solutions using modern Microsoft technologies while contributing to the evolution of a highly resilient trading platform.
The Core Platform Software Engineer (C#/.NET) Role
As a Core Platform Software Engineer (C#/.NET), you will:
- Design, develop, and enhance the core applications and services that support the end-to-end trading lifecycle across global energy markets.
- Work across bespoke applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based data solutions, helping deliver reliable, scalable platforms used by front, middle, and back-office teams every day.

Working closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, you'll:
- Take ownership throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, deployment, and production support.
- Play a key role in improving automation, CI/CD, platform resilience, and engineering best practices while contributing to the long-term architecture of a modern enterprise trading platform.

Skills Required for the Core Platform Software Engineer (C#/.NET) Role

- Strong commercial experience developing enterprise software using C#/.NET and SQL Server.
- Experience building modern applications and services using .NET Core/.NET, REST APIs, and Entity Framework (or similar ORM frameworks).
- Experience working with Azure technologies, including Data Factory, Databricks, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, automation, testing frameworks, and modern software delivery.
- Experience building and supporting scalable, business-critical enterprise platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with both technical teams and business users.
- Experience within energy trading, commodities, financial services, or another highly data-driven enterprise environment would be advantageous.
