We are looking for a Core Services Lead to join our IT team here at Harrods. This role will lead and support a campus-wide network infrastructure spanning wired, wireless, and voice services.

This role is 5 days in the office at Knightsbridge

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for operational excellence, team performance, and the reliability of business-critical network services across retail, warehouse, and head office environments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end configuration, onboarding, and ongoing support for concessionaire and partner networks
  • Maintain and enforce cabling and infrastructure standards, ensuring full compliance with M&E specifications
  • Monitor and optimise power utilisation, UPS capacity, and environmental conditions such as cooling
  • Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting and fault resolution, ensuring rapid restoration of services

About You

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of network architecture and design principles as well as maintain a strong customer service focus when engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

It is important that you can communicate clearly and concisely, translating complex technical concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences and remain flexible and adaptable, responding effectively to changing priorities and business needs.

You will also have the following;

  • Strong subject matter knowledge of LAN/WAN Networking, Wireless Networking, Network Security
  • Previous experience managing and coaching a team
  • Excellent time management, effectively balancing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines, including during peak operational periods
  • Knowledge of VPN technologies, including DMVPN and IPsec
  • Basic scripting and automation capability
