Overview
We are currently looking for a Corporate Account Executive to join our Batth office, supporting existing commercial insurance clients and identifying new opportunities.
The Commercial Account Executive plays a pivotal role in regional operations, managing diverse commercial and corporate insurance policies across various business types and sizes. The Bath team thrives in a collaborative office environment where staff work closely together to serve clients. You will be supported by an experienced team for claims handling and receive assistance from the regional claims team when needed.
This is a long-term progressive opportunity at a stable, key UK broking location. Strong commercial/corporate insurance knowledge is essential to attract clients with annual turnovers exceeding £20,000.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed renewal retention and new business targets, contributing to overall budget objectives and KPIs
- Complete all role-specific duties while adhering strictly to company procedures and policies
- Foster a customer-led culture by ensuring sales standards, discipline, activities, and best practices are consistently delivered
- Conduct client visits and present proposals to underwriters, obtaining and submitting competitive quotations for new business or renewals -manage debt collection, ensuring all monies are properly collected, allocated, and reporting any issues related to bad debt to your manager
- Efficiently manage and prioritise your schedules while maintaining accurate diary and task logs
- Completion of all mandatory training, including actions as outlined in your development plan
- Ensure training compliance by meeting deadlines for your own and your team’s training, logging all learning on a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Plan

Requirements
- Strong expertise in broking large commercial insurance risks across diverse business lines and industry sectors
- Comprehensive industry knowledge including familiarisation with commercial markets and economic trends
- Proven ability to build and sustain business relationships, fostering goodwill
- Outstanding interpersonal, written and oral communication abilities
- Capacity to analyze, prepare, and deliver professional reports
- Proactive and highly motivated with self-directed initiative
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, ensuring deadlines are met
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and support team colleagues
