Corporate Account Executive – Commercial Insurance Brokerage
Location: Leicester / Birmingham Salary: Negotiable + Benefits
ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Executive to join our professional and welcoming team based at our Leicester / Birmingham office. With decades of expertise, we provide independent advice and specialist insurance solutions across various trade sectors, ensuring unbiased yet informed recommendations.
The role involves generating and maintaining income in line with agreed targets, including:
- Conducting client visits to evaluate business risks.
- Designing the most cost-effective insurance programmes tailored to clients’ requirements.
- Providing high-quality advisory services and representing the client at meetings when required.
- Maintaining and growing revenue from existing clients while proactively seeking new opportunities.
This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Executive with deep knowledge in cross-class commercial insurance, seeking to advance their career or take on greater responsibility.

Client Development & Engagement
- Visit prospects to gather risk information for quotation purposes.
- Negotiate/broker policies with insurers to secure competitive premiums.
- Conduct follow-up visits to refine client agreements and secure appointments.
Insurance Solutions & Risk Assessment
- Evaluate prospects’ business landscapes—identifying opportunities and threats.
- Develop bespoke insurance solutions based on gathered insights.
New Business Growth
- Generate New Business through referrals, proactive efforts, and quotations.
- Make informed recommendations for insurance with a dynamic approach.
Client Management
- Service designated clients of Berkeley Insurance Group, ensuring retention and revenue growth.
- Collect/report client instructions to Account Handlers or insurers as needed.
- Suggest improvements to existing insurance programmes and address coverage gaps.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Maintain strict credit control for allocated clients.
- Liaise with Claims Handlers and other internal teams to deliver high standards.
- Address client issues externally while escalating beyond-competency level appropriately.
- Ensure adherence to FCA regulations and Company Procedures.

Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven expertise in UK commercial insurance broking, market dynamics, and technical matters.
- Strong understanding of Cross-Class insurance policies.

- Outgoing, eloquent communicator with exceptional presentation ability.
