Corporate Account Handler – Understanding Your Clients as a Growth Tool

About the Role

Most Account Handler roles focus on servicing clients. Ours is about understanding them—how businesses operate, where they’re vulnerable, and how insurance can drive growth beyond protection.

We’re seeking a Corporate Account Handler who thrives on deep client engagement, collaborating with experienced Account Directors to shape advice for large, often international corporate clients. This is a role for someone looking to build a long-term career in corporate client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Portfolio Management

    • Oversee a diverse portfolio (15–30 clients) with turnovers ranging from £50m to £500m.
    • Serve industries including manufacturing, engineering, food & drink, retail, technology, and life sciences.
  • Risk & Programme Oversight

    • Manage cross-class risks (property, liability, motor, fleet, cyber, professional indemnity).
    • Lead renewals, mid-term adjustments, and overall servicing.
  • Strategic Client Collaboration

    • Act as the primary point of contact, building trust and relationships.
    • Work alongside Account Directors on complex placements and bespoke programme design.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
