My clients is currently looking for a Corporate Actions specialist to join their team in Blackpool and be a subject matter expert to the wider team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise across complex corporate action events, acting as a point of escalation, quality control, and knowledge leadership within the Corporate Actions function.
Key Focuses Upskilling and mentoring operational staff Interpreting and managing complex, high‑risk and non‑standard corporate actions Processing complex, high‑risk and non‑standard corporate actions Ensuring regulatory, jurisdictional and tax considerations are correctly applied Supporting a UK and Channel Islands wealth management business
Duties and responsibilities
Act as the primary technical authority for complex and non‑standard corporate action events, including but not limited to: Tender offers, schemes of arrangement, mergers, demergers, re-domiciliation and restructurings Events with jurisdictional restrictions, solicitation limitations and regulatory sensitivities Events involving overseas markets, depositary interests and custody chains. Interpret issuer documentation, circulars and offer terms to determine: Correct processing requirements Client eligibility and restrictions Instruction mechanics and deadlines Settlement, consideration and entitlement treatment. Lead and support the technical development of Corporate Actions staff, including: On‑the‑job coaching and mentoring Technical walkthroughs of complex events Support with interpreting offer documentation and restrictions. Contribute to the development and maintenance of: Corporate actions procedures Technical guidance notes and FAQs Training materials and reference documentation. Act as a go‑to escalation point for complex queries from within Operations, Front Office and Client Services.
