About the Role
A well-established London-based asset manager is hiring a Corporate & Technical Accountant into its Financial Reporting and Control team. This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who wants genuine ownership—you will:
- Lead the global group consolidation
- Play a central part in statutory reporting, management accounts, and technical accounting across the group
Ideal for a qualified accountant with a strong IFRS technical foundation (built through audit) and ready to transition into a fast-moving, multi-entity finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end global group consolidation:
- Intercompany eliminations
- FX translation
- Intercompany matrix maintenance

Month-end close support:
- Entity reporting packs
- Balance sheet and payroll reconciliations
- Liaison with overseas subsidiary finance teams

Technical accounting leadership:
- IFRS 16 (leases)
- IFRS 2 (share-based payments)
- IFRS 3 (business combinations)
- IFRS 9
- IFRS 15

IFRS reporting:
- Preparation of group’s annual and interim reports (including the Group Cash Flow Statement)

Subsidiary statutory accounts under FRS 101

Impairment reviews

Supporting the Head of Financial Control on technical queries

- External auditor liaison
- Contribution to finance projects and regulatory returns
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience
- Strong technical IFRS grounding, ideally gained through audit of IFRS-reporting entities
- Ability to work across a complex, multi-entity international group
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to balance competing deadlines
- Clear communicator, capable of collaborating with:
- Subsidiary finance teams
- External auditors
- Senior stakeholders
- Intermediate to advanced Excel
- Power BI experience — a plus
