Senior Associate, Audit – Crowe Midlands

Due to continued growth in our Midlands office, we are recruiting a qualified Senior Associate, Audit to join our audit/assurance team.
The Role
This position involves:
- Leading and delivering client-based assignments, ensuring high-quality audit work and reporting
- Coaching and managing team members
- Managing client relationships
- Contributing to business growth through audit and advisory engagements (both audit and non-audit clients)
Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Coach junior staff by sharing expertise and on-the-job training in auditing methodology
Your Direct Client Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent service and accountability
- Demonstrate strong writing, research, and presentation skills (proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Anticipate client needs and communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, ensuring client and firm interests are aligned
- Support planning, execution, and finalisation of audit assignments, providing solutions and firm-level input on risks and challenges
- Follow risk management policies, complying with UK legal and regulatory requirements
- Apply audit risk awareness and accounting technical expertise to deliver high-quality work
- Proactively manage reputational, operational, and credit risks in client relationships
- Demonstrate urgency and diligence, ensuring work quality and timeliness impact client service levels
- Lead in budget monitoring, addressing deviations with the Manager/Partner

Note: While your main focus will be on Midlands clients, occasional support for other UK offices may be required.
Key Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- ACA/ACCA/CA qualification (mandatory)
- UKGAAP accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong passion for client service and results-driven performance
- Commitment to personal and professional development

- Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
