What’s expected of you?
DeterTech is looking for a Corporate National Business Development Manager - Utilities South, to join our team. This role will support the South East/South West/Essex regions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new corporate accounts, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within our market segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility will be to identify, target, and secure new corporate accounts
- Develop and execute national business development strategies aligned to corporate objectives and revenue targets
- Build, manage, and expand long-term relationships with senior decision-makers within key national customers
- Act as the strategic lead and primary point of contact for assigned corporate accounts
- Coordinate and manage bids, tenders, and proposals for large-scale and multi-site projects
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and commercial agreements with corporate clients
- Collaborate with sales, operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure consistent service delivery
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and risks
- Support and influence the wider business to ensure alignment, consistency, and best practice across accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth through proactive relationship management

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related discipline (desirable)
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in corporate or national business development
- Proven track record of winning and growing large-scale or multi-site accounts
- Demonstrable experience managing complex sales cycles, bids, and tenders
- Strong experience in contract negotiation and pricing discussions
