Corporate Communications Manager at Exchange for Change
VMA Group is excited to partner with Exchange for Change to find a highly skilled Corporate Communications Manager to help build and protect its reputation and that of the new UK deposit return scheme (DRS) for single-use drinks containers made from PET plastic, steel and aluminium. Exchange For Change is the industry-led organisation appointed by the UK government to design, build and operate the UK's new Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). When this scheme launches in the UK on 1 October 2027 it will be the world’s biggest DRS and one of the most ambitious environmental infrastructure programmes in the UK's history.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape communications for a nationally significant environmental initiative that will transform recycling across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
📍 Hybrid: 60/40 split inc. Milton Keynes (min. 1 day/week) | 🕒 Full-time, Permanent
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Media & Content, you'll ensure the press office operates to a high standard, develop compelling stories and content, build strong media relationships, and support issues and crisis communications. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, agencies, and colleagues across the business to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful communications.

What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in media relations/press office or corporate communications roles
- Capability to handle media enquiries and reputation-sensitive issues
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with/managing external agencies
- A collaborative, proactive approach and passion for making a positive environmental impact
