Corporate Communications Manager

Location: Flexible
Salary: From £39,855 depending on skills, experience and location / 36 hours per week / fixed term (maternity cover)
Job type: Fixed Term Contract

English Heritage is seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Manager to help tell the story of the charity and the work we do – from caring for some of England's most important historic sites to engaging with local communities across the country.

You'll secure impactful media coverage that inspires people, strengthens English Heritage's reputation and supports our mission: to care for England's National Heritage Collection and share it with as many people as possible. You'll also play a key role in protecting and enhancing the charity's reputation.

The role is full-time and for a fixed term of 12 months.

We offer flexible working arrangements where the role allows. This role can be based at one of our sites or offices, at home, or worked on a hybrid pattern. You will be required to attend our London office on a relatively frequent basis. If the majority of your working week will be based at our London office, you will receive a premium on top of the advertised salary. This will be discussed further at interview.

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • Extensive experience of creating and delivering successful communications campaigns and projects, preferably within the heritage or culture sectors.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the current media landscape, with existing contacts - across both consumer and corporate/broadsheet media - plus the ability to expand your media network and establish new contacts to generate coverage.
  • Experience of managing integrated campaigns and making the most of your budget.
  • Reputation and stakeholder management experience.
