Our Audit of Tax (AoT) practice sits at the intersection of tax technical expertise and audit quality. As a core member of our Audit of Tax Specialist (ATS) Network, you will take a leading role in delivering complex audits of tax for some of the UK’s largest and most internationally diverse businesses. Your portfolio will be centred on AoT work (50–100% of your time), with the opportunity to develop a complementary tax advisory portfolio, particularly in tax accounting, where the technical fit with AoT is a natural extension of the specialism.
You will work alongside experienced Directors and Partners across our national ATS network, contributing to best practice, technical training, and the continued growth of the specialism within the firm. We offer a clear career path through to Director, with a potential pathway to Partner, supported by strong investment in coaching and professional development at every level.
We seek to attract the best people from a diverse talent pool and encourage a culture where people can be themselves and be valued for their strengths. This is what makes us a strong organisation with an increasingly agile workforce which is why we’ve introduced the ‘Deal’ – including an ‘Empowered day’ (more freedom around working pattern), hybrid working (with 40-60% of time expected co-located with colleagues in office or client sites) and summer working hours (a reduced working day on a Friday in July and August with hours condensed into the rest of the week).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
