Description

Join Amazon's innovative EU legal team, focused on enabling business growth through smart risk-taking—empowering selling partners, business customers, and builders of the Amazon shopping experience to innovate and achieve global success while protecting customer, brand, and selling partner trust in our European stores.

Amazon is seeking an experienced lawyer to support our European Stores businesses on compliance efforts across a number of strategic product and environmental compliance and safety topics. The lawyer in this role has the exciting opportunity to advise and apply novel and evolving regulatory requirements for products sold in Europe, with a particular emphasis on key horizontal laws including the New Legislative Framework, Market Surveillance Regulation, General Product Safety Regulation, and Digital Services Act. In addition, in this role you will lead on designing and implementing compliance strategies in Amazon's EU Stores for emerging technology regulations including the EU's Data Act, AI Act and Cyber Resilience Act.

Finally, you will apply your broad regulatory knowledge base as the EU legal representative to a regulatory horizon scanning program tracking new EU and EU Member State regulations and their impact to Amazon. In particular, you'll have opportunities to develop and apply novel AI-driven solutions and leverage new and proprietary technology to simplify and scale best practices in this space.

You'll coordinate with Amazon’s public policy and legal teams and impacted business lines to manage the entire lifecycle of a policy initiative—from early consultation to implementation. You will partner with our public policy teams to execute strategic advocacy campaigns, with opportunities to interact with EU regulators and authorities. This role is at the forefront of anticipating how new WW and EU regulations will impact Amazon and shaping our response.

This role offers a unique opportunity to connect deeply with Amazon’s technology and operations, support organizations that drive Amazon’s commitment to deliver trusted selection in our EU Stores and enable sellers with industry-leading compliance solutions. You will be a thought leader, analyzing legislation frameworks and supporting our public policy advocacy, while staying ahead of upcoming legislation and regularly applying new technologies. As a key player on our European legal team, you will coordinate with lawyers worldwide and with Amazon’s business teams to make Amazon the safest and most trusted store on earth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
