About The Team
In a Corporate Counsel role, you will be part of the Commercial and Regulatory Legal Team. Reporting into the VP, Global Head of Legal – Expansion and GTM, you will manage legal business matters to protect the enterprise’s rights in regulatory matters, contract negotiations, settlements, and business practices. As part of a legal team with 200 attorneys and paraprofessionals, your focus will be on payments law, corporate compliance, contracts law, financial crime and transaction support.
What You’ll Own
Act as a legal advisor to Worldpay businesses focused on new markets/products and services, and global card network partnerships. Provide advice and guidance to the sales and products teams in addressing regulatory compliance, licensing, business and reporting matters; Coordinate, manage and validate advice from external counsel within a budget. Support global and product expansion roadmap to accelerate speed to market. Provide legal and regulatory guidance on the design, modification and geographical expansion of products. Translate legal and regulatory requirements into functional specifications and standard operational procedures and provide ongoing regulatory advice and guidance on internal policies and changing regulations. Prepare and negotiate contracts relating to global card networks, while providing legal advice and counsel to relevant business units in areas that include data security, privacy and regulatory matters. Engaging with stakeholder regulators for timely response to regulatory requests.

What You Bring
Licensed to practice law in the UK or at least one other European country Minimum 6 years PQE. Global compliance and regulatory experience in LATAM, APAC, EMEA and North America Commercial acumen, decision making skills, be an all-round team player and possess excellent communications skills with a proven ability to manage complex legal issues. Experience in payments or e-money regulations, regulatory licensing applications and cross border transactions. Fluent in a second language
