Job Purpose
Corporate Counsel supports the Senior Corporate Counsel in advising Cox Automotive Europe’s key businesses. The successful candidate will be commercially astute with the ability to inspire confidence and influence others in a fast-paced environment. The position requires frequent interactions with all levels of the organisation and externally.

- Advise on the provision of physical services, including the drafting and negotiation of agreements for B2B vehicle remarketing services, reconditioning, storage and transport
- Advise on the provision of B2B digital services, including the drafting and negotiation of agreements for software development, SaaS and software licensing, and data licensing
- Support the Sales Enablement Team with RFI and RFQ responses, including the review and negotiation of tender terms
- Work with the Privacy Team to assist in the protection of personal data processed by Cox and mitigate associated risk, including the drafting and negotiation of data processing terms
- Identify TUPE considerations, draft and negotiate indemnities
- Make recommendations regarding the legal implications of new physical and digital products, including the drafting of product terms
- Work with the Compliance Team to ensure the implementation and maintenance of operational processes
- Provide advice on the exploitation and protection of intellectual property rights, including copyright in software
- Respond to ad hoc requests for legal assistance, including contract interpretation queries
- Advise on contentious matters, including handling contract dispute negotiations and instructing external counsel on litigation
- Work with the Complaints team and General Managers to advise on escalated customer disputes, including the management of small claims
- Assist Senior Corporate Counsel (Supply Chain) on procurement activity where required

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required
- PQE guide 2-5 years
- In house and/or automotive industry experience preferred
- Excellent drafting and negotiation ability
- Adept at handling multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Experience of small claims litigation and/or auction law is advantageous, but not essential
