About the Role

The role supports the company’s capital formation and inorganic growth activities, contributing to funding rounds, strategic partnerships, and investment decisions.

The position will translate complex and incomplete information into rigorous financial and investment cases, to support the VP, Corporate Development and executive team with high-quality analysis and insight. The role manages core corporate finance work including financial analysis, project and transaction modelling, and product-level unit economics. In addition to their core responsibilities, the role supports FP&A with modelling and scenario analysis, and Legal with Shareholder analysis.

Success in this role will be defined by the quality, clarity, and reliability of financial analysis supporting capital raising and strategic decisions, and the efficient execution of funding and transaction processes.

Role Focus (First 6–12 Months):

  • 50–60%: capital raising, investor materials, diligence, financial modelling
  • 25–30%: corporate finance frameworks, LCOC, scenario modelling
  • 10–20%: partnerships and strategy support

Corporate Development Execution (Funding, Strategy & Transactions)

  • Execute corporate development initiatives across funding, strategy, and transactions.
  • Prepare high-quality investor, board, and transaction materials (IMs, presentations, supporting analysis).
  • Support funder relationships by tracking inbound interest, mapping mandates, and informing engagement strategy.
  • Co-develop investment cases across financing structures, partnerships, and M&A opportunities.
  • Manage data rooms and coordinate internal/external diligence processes.
  • Partner with external advisers (banks, legal, consultants) on models, structures, and financing vehicles.
  • Lead M&A and selective inorganic analysis, including valuation, diligence, and clear recommendation synthesis.

Corporate Finance, Analysis & Modelling Excellence

  • Build robust, defensible financial models across projects, transactions, and products with clear assumptions.
  • Enhance modelling efficiency, automation, and data quality across Corporate Development.
  • Provide analytical input to levelised costs, corporate planning, and strategic decision-making.
  • Support broader modelling needs (planning, opportunity evaluation, JV analysis, proposition modelling).
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
