At Shaw & Co, we advise ambitious business owners through some of the most important transactions of their lives—M&A, fundraising, and strategic exits. We’re growing our Deal Delivery team and looking for a recently qualified ACA, ACCA, or CFA (or equivalent) who wants more than a job title—you want a career you’re proud of.
You’ll work on live deals from day one, learn directly from experienced deal-makers, and be part of a firm that genuinely invests in your development. If you’re ambitious, curious, and want to make things happen—read on.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
i) Deal Delivery
- Support live transactions: Work alongside Managers and Directors delivering M&A and funding mandates from day one.
- Build the numbers: Prepare financial analysis, valuations, and models that shape client decisions.
- Tell the story: Draft sections of Information Memorandums (IMs), Funding Proposals, pitch decks, and board reports.
- Research markets: Identify buyers, investors, and market trends to support origination and execution.
- Run due diligence workstreams: Coordinate with clients, lawyers, and other advisors to keep processes moving.
- Stay on track: Deliver on time, every time. Own your workstreams and hit deadlines.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification (recently qualified or finalist stage).
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication—you can turn numbers into a compelling story.
- Sharp attention to detail—in deals, the small stuff matters.
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and open to exploring new technology.
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
- A genuine appetite to learn, collaborate, and grow.

Desirable:
- Experience in a professional services environment.
- Exposure to financial analysis, modelling, or transaction support.
- A genuine interest in corporate finance, M&A, and funding.
Reward
- Basic salary: Approx £53,000 per annum.
- PRR1 & PRR2 bonus participation.

Location
- Bristol (central office).
- Hybrid option: Working up to 2 days per week from home/alternative location with line manager approval.
