Job Title: Corporate Fitness and Wellbeing Manager

Location: Exeter

About the role:

As the Fitness and Wellbeing Manager, you will provide an exceptional level of fitness floor supervision, and engagement with the wider Client workforce, designed to improve the health and wellbeing for not only the Fitness Centre members, but all employees. You will also be the line manager to all onsite staff including the fitness centre team and all freelance instructors.

Your responsibilities:

  • Delivering the day to day running, management and coordination of the Active Space.
  • To support, coach, manage and develop the internal Active Space Team.
  • Responsibility for creating an effective wellbeing programme and implementing service on client site within required timelines. Also, perform health related fitness assessments as part of the programme.
  • Assist in formulating and delivering health/fitness related promotions that increase the knowledge, motivation, and awareness of all client employees to actively promoting usage levels of the Active Space. This includes implementation of marketing communications and membership sales process for the acquisition and retention of members.
  • Ensure that all members have completed a HCS and received either an exercise programme or induction before using the centre. Provide re-programmes every 3 months or as per the agreed protocols set by Westfield Health & Wellbeing. Personal training is available on site as part of this process.
  • Responsibility for implementing the Active Space health and safety policies and procedures. Undertake regular training and communication of health and safety to Active Space team to enable a safe environment to all users. Additionally, client and building related health and safety procedures are to be always followed.
  • To promote class timetable and teach onsite classes depending on qualifications as and when required.
  • Ensure all membership records are confidential and up to date using the processes available on site. As part of process, the management of membership direct debits and related membership/ prospective administration is necessary for member acquisition and retention purposes.
  • Develop professional relationship with client, key stakeholders on site, teams and colleagues and line manager alike to achieve positive outcomes for the Active Space.
  • Report performance of the club as requested and ensure the Active Space is successful in achieving a positive budget and financial outcome.

  • Level 3 PT / CIMSPA
  • First Aid Cert
  • Class qualifications would be beneficial
  • Corporate fitness experience
  • Experience in delivering 1:1 personal training
  • Ability to teach group based classes
  • Exposure to Microsoft suite
  • Working within a team / lone working
  • Flexibility around shift patterns

Salary, Perks & Benefits:

  • Salary - £27,300.00 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 25 days annual leave plus 1 in lieu of Christmas period.
