The IB&F Corporate Lending team, specifically our Fund Finance division, is a dynamic and integral part of our Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business. We specialize in the origination and execution of Capital Call opportunities and tailored lending solutions for Asset Managers and Financial Sponsors. The team focuses on building and managing a robust portfolio of Subscription facilities while operating in a fast-paced environment. By working closely with internal partners across coverage, products, credit, risk, and compliance, we ensure the delivery of comprehensive financial solutions that meet the complex, day-to-day needs of our institutional clients.
About The Job

You will closely support the team in their daily activities, helping to facilitate capital call and lending solutions for Asset Managers and Financial Sponsors while gaining unique exposure to how a major Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business operates from the inside.

What You Will Do
- Origination & Execution Support: Assist senior team members in identifying capital call opportunities with new and existing Financial Sponsors and Asset Managers.
- Portfolio Analysis Assistance: Support the team in building and managing a portfolio of Subscription facilities by helping to review and analyze relevant client information.
- Monitoring Collaboration: Help monitor facility performance, track and record client contact activity, and assist in updating monitoring databases and modeling returns under direct supervision.
- Committee Preparation: Assist in organizing, preparing, and working on relevant documentation and paperwork linked to Credit, Risk, and Business committee submissions.
- Internal Liaison Support: Assist the team in liaising with internal partners across coverage, products, credit, risk, and compliance to help service day-to-day client needs.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Recent Graduate (or currently looking for a placement/gap year) with a clear career focus on Private Markets, Lending Products, or Finance.
- Languages: English is mandatory.
- Key Competencies: Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills, combined with a collaborative team spirit.
- Tech Savvy: Strong IT skills and a good command of digital workplace tools (such as Google Workspace).
- Mindset: A strong desire to learn through active participation, great attention to detail, and a proactive, supportive attitude.

What You Will Gain
- Fund Finance & Lending Expertise: A foundational, hands-on understanding of capital call structures, Subscription facilities, and borrowing bases.
- Financial & Risk Analysis Skills: Learn the core criteria behind credit approvals, risk assessments, business reviews, and return modeling.
- CIB Business Insight: Gain a comprehensive understanding of how a Corporate & Investment Banking office is managed and how different product desks operate.
- High-Level Exposure: Active learning through close collaboration with senior team members (including Executive Directors, VPs, and Analysts).
Important Requirements
- Availability: This is a full-time, 1-year position from September 2026 to September 2027. This is NOT a summer internship. Please only apply if you can commit to this duration.
- Location: One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London.
- Right to Work: Applicants must possess UK Citizenship or a valid Right to Work (RTW) in the UK. Proof of eligibility will be required during the recruitment process.
