A leading UK law firm with a strong national footprint is looking to appoint an experienced Corporate Partner to join its expanding Sheffield office. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly regarded corporate team known for delivering commercially focused advice to a diverse client base.
The Opportunity
You will join a sizeable and well-established corporate practice advising a broad spectrum of clients, including:
- Owner-managed businesses
- High-growth companies
- Financial institutions
- Large corporates
The team handles a wide range of high-quality work including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Private equity transactions and investments
- Fundraising and equity structuring
- Corporate reorganisations and restructuring
- Joint ventures and shareholder arrangements
- Corporate governance and advisory matters
The Sheffield team is experiencing significant growth and offers a collaborative, supportive environment with strong cross-office integration. You will work alongside highly regarded senior lawyers on complex and high-value transactions while also having the opportunity to take ownership of your own matters.

The Role
This position is suited to an ambitious corporate lawyer with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to be at the heart of collaboratively building a practice. In this varied and rewarding role you will:
- Lead and manage a varied caseload of corporate matters
- Play a key role in delivering technically excellent and commercially focused advice
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Contribute to business development and networking initiatives
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple offices
The firm actively encourages career progression and will support you in developing your profile and client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality legal advice and exceptional client service
- Manage matters efficiently, including financial performance, billing and WIP control
- Identify and drive business development opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date technical expertise
- Take ownership of your ongoing professional development
- Operate in line with regulatory and professional standards

About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a qualified lawyer with strong corporate experience gained at a reputable firm
- Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge across a range of corporate matters
- Have the ability to run transactions independently with minimal supervision
- Possess strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
- Have a proven track record of meeting financial and performance targets
- Be confident using case management systems and standard IT packages
- Be a proactive, personable team player with strong communication skills
