A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Partner to join a leading regional law firm in Guildford as part of their plans to grow the department. This strategic appointment offers the chance to work alongside highly regarded partners - many with City backgrounds - advising on complex, high-value corporate transactions across a broad client base that includes owner-managed businesses, large corporates, and private equity investors.
The Role
As Corporate Partner, you will:
- Lead and manage complex corporate matters including mergers & acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, and reorganisations.
- Drive business development and strengthen client and referrer relationships across the South East and London.
- Provide strategic, commercially-focused advice across a range of sectors.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver seamless client service.
- Mentor and develop senior associates and other team members to support growth and excellence.
- Play an active role in shaping the strategic direction of the corporate practice and the wider firm.

About You
- Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience (typically 8+ years PQE) in corporate law.
- Existing Partner, Legal Director, or ambitious Senior Associate ready for partnership.
- Strong technical expertise combined with commercial insight and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to develop business and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
