Corporate Planning Systems Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Planning Systems Engineer to join our Planning & Controls function based at our London Head Office. This is a strategic, business-critical role responsible for the ownership and governance of the organisation's planning systems and standards. Working closely with the Head of Planning, you will lead the administration of the Primavera P6 environment, drive planning governance, improve reporting capability, and ensure the highest standards of programme quality across the business.
This is not a traditional project planning role. We're looking for someone with an engineering background who understands construction methodology and can combine technical planning expertise with systems administration, data governance, and business reporting.

Primavera P6 Systems Ownership
- Act as the administrator and owner of the Primavera P6 EPPM environment.
- Manage the Enterprise Project Structure (EPS), user permissions, security profiles, global calendars, activity codes, and data dictionaries.
- Maintain planning system integrity and ensure consistent standards across all projects.
- Coordinate software upgrades, licence management, and integration with other planning and project management tools including Asta Powerproject, TILOS, and BIM platforms.

- Standardise Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), calendars, activity codes, and programme structures across all live projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
