Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate PMO Analyst to join our Strategic Programmes & Improvement Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening how we plan, manage and deliver change across the organisation.
You will provide specialist analytical and coordination support to the Corporate PMO, helping to ensure high-quality data, robust governance and insightful reporting that enables confident decision making and successful delivery of our priorities.
About Us
Our Strategic Programmes & Improvement Service is a recently relaunched, single, integrated function delivering transformation through two complementary areas: Programmes & Improvement Delivery and Assurance & Improvement Capability. Together, we provide governance, frameworks, capability and delivery support to help the Council achieve its priorities.
You will join a collaborative, supportive and skilled team of programme professionals, analysts and improvement specialists working across all directorates. The team is committed to continuous learning, innovation and delivering real, measurable outcomes.

About The Role
As a Corporate PMO Analyst, you will play a central role in ensuring the organisation has reliable, accurate and timely information to support portfolio, programme and project governance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the implementation, configuration and maintenance of PMO systems and tools
- Acting as a first point of contact for PMO system queries and user support
- Maintaining high-quality portfolio data through validation and data quality checks
- Producing dashboards, reports and management information to agreed standards
- Analysing data to identify trends, risks, delivery confidence issues and improvement opportunities
- Providing clear insight and commentary to inform decision making
- Coordinating governance cycles, meetings and reporting timetables
- Maintaining document control, audit trails and PMO artefacts
- Supporting portfolio planning, pipeline management and demand tracking
- Contributing to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates and reporting

You will work across a diverse organisational portfolio, gaining exposure to strategic programmes. The role combines data analysis, systems support and governance coordination.
You will directly influence decision-making through insight and reporting and there is strong opportunity to contribute to improving PMO maturity and capability.
About You
We are looking for someone who is analytical, organised and proactive, with a passion for improving data quality, systems and processes.
You will bring:
- Experience working in a PMO, programme, project or similar analytical role in a large organisation
- Strong understanding of governance, reporting and data management processes
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and experience with PMO systems
- Ability to analyse complex data and present clear, meaningful insights
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence in working with stakeholders and explaining technical information to non-specialists
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and driving improvements

The team work in the office for 40% of the week (2 days for full time) minimum, with Tuesdays being a set team office day. Your second day is dependant on your business demands or individual team meeting priorities.
