Corporate Receptionist
Receptionist – Corporate Receptionist (Band 2 → Band 3)
Location Broughton Area Office, 449-451 Garstang Rd, Broughton, Preston PR3 5LN
Hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:30–16:30)
Salary Band 2 → Uplift to Band 3 upon successful completion of training and 26-week probationary period.
About the Role
We are looking for a professional, organised, and welcoming Receptionist to join our facilities management team in Broughton, Preston. This front-of-house role acts as the first point of contact for visitors, colleagues, and external contacts, ensuring a high-quality, efficient, and professional service in facilities management, reception, and corporate telephony.
The ideal candidate will deliver a courteous and professional welcome to all visitors and callers, representing the Trust to the highest standards. This role requires:
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Tenacity and multitasking ability

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality reception and administrative service, including:
- Handling corporate telephony and mail processes
- Manage meeting room and office bookings (inclusive of room setup)
- Produce identification badges and order stock in compliance with trust procedures
- Adhere to departmental procedures and record-keeping protocols
- Support the facilities management function of the site, including:
- Reporting health and safety issues using agreed systems
- Collating site occupancy data
- Completing tasks as directed
- Perform manual handling to distribute stock and resources across the site
Candidates must maintain a welcoming, professional, calm, and customer-focused demeanour—both in person and on the phone. They should also demonstrate:
- Confidence using IT systems
- Strong organisation skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently

Requirements
Essential
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Business Administration and/or Customer Care (or equivalent experience)
