Social Responsibility Manager

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 days from home)
Salary: £XX,XXX + Benefits

Make an Impact on a Global Sustainability Strategy

Our client is seeking an experienced Social Responsibility Manager to lead and shape the social pillar of their global sustainability programme. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact across an international organisation. Working closely with the Global Sustainability Manager, you will take ownership of social responsibility initiatives, developing policies, driving best practice and improving sustainability performance across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organisation's social responsibility and ESG initiatives across multiple international locations.
  • Develop and implement policies relating to employee wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, human rights and responsible business practices.
  • Drive improvements across the organisation's social sustainability performance and support external sustainability assessments.
  • Design and monitor social KPIs, dashboards and reporting metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with HR and business leaders across multiple countries to implement new initiatives and best practice.
  • Develop processes for employee engagement, wellbeing, learning and career development.
  • Coordinate diversity and inclusion programmes and training.
  • Support the development of health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with modern slavery, human rights and labour standards.
  • Produce reports and evidence to support sustainability objectives and external audits.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across a global business, influencing without direct management responsibility.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and enjoys delivering projects from concept through to implementation.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within ESG, CSR, Sustainability, Responsible Business or HR Compliance.
  • Experience working within a global or multi-country organisation.
  • Strong policy writing and project management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
  • Experience producing reports, analysing data and managing KPIs.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
  • A good understanding of employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, human rights and responsible business practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting EcoVadis or other sustainability assessments.
  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks.
  • Experience within logistics, professional services, financial services or another international organisation.
