Role Description: Consultant Solicitor
The Consultant Solicitor provides high-quality legal advice and representation to corporate and high-net-worth private clients across Ashbourne’s practice areas. Daily responsibilities include:
- Managing client matters from initial instruction through to completion
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and transactional documents
- Advising on corporate and financial risk and structuring
- Handling negotiations in complex commercial or cross-border transactions
This role operates within Ashbourne’s distributed platform, fostering collaboration among lawyers and shared resources to support client delivery, while maintaining and developing your own client relationships.

Requirements
Essential
- Strong foundation in corporate, commercial, and financial law, with expertise to advise confidently on complex matters.
- Experience in:
- Private Equity transactions
- Banking law
- Corporate structuring
- Proven track record of successfully serving corporate and high-net-worth private clients.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification) with a valid practising certificate (relevant jurisdiction).
Professional Attributes
- Proven ability to work independently in remote or hybrid settings, managing workloads, deadlines, and client communications effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in collaborating with multilingual and cross-border teams/clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ideally with established or developable client relationships.
- High ethical standards, diligent attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning in relevant practice areas.
