Corporate Solicitor
Corporate Associate | 3+ Years PQE | Ipswich
The corporate team here is part of a nationally recognised group of 60 fee earners and 19 partners, many ranked in Legal 500 Hall of Fame, but the Ipswich hub has its own identity: busy, close-knit, and deeply connected to the local and regional business community.
The work You will sit within a team that advises on the full lifecycle of a business, from start-up and early-stage funding through to M&A, private equity, and exit. The client base spans entrepreneurs, PE and VC funds, financial institutions, owner-managed businesses, public companies, and international investors. In Ipswich, you will see a mix of regional heavyweights and national mandates, including:
Drafting, negotiating, and managing primary and ancillary documentation for corporate transactions Acquisitions, mergers, and disposals, including cross-border work Investments, joint ventures, restructurings, and shareholder agreements Due diligence coordination, working closely with colleagues in banking, tax, and commercial Direct client contact and involvement in business development from the start

About you You are a corporate solicitor with three plus years' experience, confident with Company law and the rhythm of transactions. You draft well, think commercially, and communicate clearly. You are comfortable managing your own files and supporting more complex deals. You work flexibly when deadlines demand it, take ownership of your financial performance, and enjoy developing junior colleagues. A background in private equity, venture capital, or reorganisations is helpful but not essential. What matters is a strong interest in building a practice in Ipswich and contributing to the team's continued growth.
