About the Team
The Legal Services team at City of Wolverhampton Council is a multi-award-winning, Lexcel accredited organisation dedicated to legal excellence. We provide an opportunity to thrive as individuals and as part of a collaborative team in a modernised, pleasant workspace at the Civic Centre.

Key Responsibilities
This role offers a diverse and impactful caseload, including:
- Managing commercial projects, contracts, procurement, and advising on Public Contracts Regulations and Standing Orders.
- Balancing competing priorities to support clients in delivering large projects efficiently.
- Conducting technical and complex legal research with interpretation and analysis skills.
- Collaboration with colleagues and clients to provide solutions on contractual and procurement issues.
- Active involvement in client care and business development.

What We Are Looking For
- Passion for corporate law with a desire to develop technical legal expertise.
- Experience in:
- Commercial contracts (including procurement, construction, public health, IT, frameworks, and concession contracts).
- Working independently or as part of a team.
- Providing solutions-driven, outcome-focused legal advice.
- Key qualities include:
- Analytical skills with an eye for detail.
- Commercial perception and a practical approach.
- Commitment to excellent client care.
- Willingness to consistently exceed expectations.
