Corporate Tax Manager

Tired of being a cog in a large corporate tax machine and want to add real value? This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with clients and decision-makers, giving you exposure to a broad range of advisory and compliance matters while building long-term relationships with entrepreneurial businesses and their shareholders.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected independent accountancy and advisory firm with a strong reputation for delivering specialist tax advice to entrepreneurial businesses, landed estates, property owners, renewable energy businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.

Known for its collaborative culture and client-centric approach, the firm combines technical excellence with practical commercial advice, building long-term relationships with a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses across the UK.

The Role

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a thriving tax team. This is a varied role offering a blend of compliance and advisory work, with a particular focus on medium to large family-owned and owner-managed businesses.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients and partners, providing proactive tax support while identifying planning opportunities and helping clients navigate complex tax matters. The role would suit an ambitious tax professional who enjoys building trusted client relationships and working across a broad range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services to owner-managed and family-owned businesses.
  • Provide advice on a broad range of corporate tax matters, identifying planning opportunities and practical solutions to complex client issues.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to businesses and their shareholders.
  • Work closely with partners on advisory projects, transactions and business development initiatives while supporting the development of junior team members.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and contribute to the firm's reputation for delivering proactive, commercially focused advice.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified.
  • Strong corporate tax experience within practice.
  • Comfortable handling both compliance and advisory work.
  • Experience working with entrepreneurial, owner-managed or family-owned businesses.
  • Commercially minded with strong technical and client-facing skills.
