Corporate Tax Assistant Manager
AJ Chambers are working with a leading accountancy practice in London to connect a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager with their next role.
This role sits within a Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team supporting a diverse portfolio of UK and international businesses across a range of sectors.
The team advises clients on a broad range of corporate tax matters, including business transformation, international expansion, reorganisations, financing arrangements, tax authority enquiries, transaction-related restructuring, cash repatriation, and the impact of evolving global tax developments.
The role offers exposure to both advisory and compliance work within a collaborative and flexible working environment that supports professional development and team learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients on corporate tax matters.
- Work alongside senior colleagues on larger and more complex client engagements.
- Support corporate tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input and undertaking technical research.
- Collaborate with specialists across different tax disciplines and international teams to deliver coordinated advice.
- Keep clients informed of emerging tax developments and regulatory changes relevant to their businesses.
- Support the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services.
- Supervise and coach junior team members to support their development.
- Assist with client account management activities, including financial management and adherence to quality and risk procedures.
- Support leadership teams with business development initiatives and opportunities.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g. CTA, ACA, CA or equivalent).
- Experience in UK corporation tax compliance and/or advisory work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and interpret technical information.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and positive approach, including the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience supporting and coaching junior colleagues.
- A collaborative and professional working style.
- Strong technical knowledge combined with commercial awareness and high standards of client service.
